The Tint Shack has been at the forefront of car security and safety innovation since 2009 and we continually research our own sector to keep customers and clients supplied with the most innovative products and services. We have a workshop in Horley which we use for window tinting and the installation of ghost immobilisers and stolen vehicle tracking systems, the latter of which we can also fit on a flexible mobile basis at your home or your place of work.
Reverse cameras are a more recent addition to our product line.
Our company offers full coverage across all locations in Kent, Surrey, East Sussex and West Sussex including the nearby town of Crawley.
Reverse cameras are small, wide-angled products which our installers mount to a vehicle’s rear end. The camera then connects to a display screen fitted to the centre console’s instrument panel, or we can integrate small monitors onto the rear-view mirror so that they are unobtrusive during normal use.
While reversing, drivers can view the rear of the car via the fitted screen. If a product can display moving parking guidelines, these help the driver to see the directional path of the rear end to make reversing more accurate.
Today, many vehicle manufacturers fit reverse cameras onto new cars as a basic safety feature, but it is still possible for owners without an installation to have one fitted as an aftermarket add-on. This is where The Tint Shack can step in to help. Our installations help you to assess the distance between your car and other vehicles, or stationary objects, situated behind you.
Reverse cameras make manoeuvrability and parking safer for all.
Customers in Crawley and the South East are coming to us to have reverse cameras installed on an increasingly frequent basis. Rising insurance costs and the risk of having to pay higher annual premiums in the event of an accident encourage private, commercial, fleet and trade clients to be more proactive with road safety measures. Having a reverse camera fitted can be less expensive than having to pay more for insurance over several years.
The benefits of reverse cameras include:
Eliminating Blind Spots
Using a rear-view mirror, or even turning your head to see road conditions, will only do so much to help you when reversing. Reverse cameras eliminate the blind spots you would usually experience when backing up your vehicle.
The addition of sound sensors will also give you an audio alert.
Pedestrian Safety
While it is sometimes quite easy to see other vehicles and larger static objects in the mirror or over your shoulder, pedestrians can be more elusive because they constantly move. Children and small animals are even harder to spot.
Having a reverse camera could, quite literally, help to save lives.
Easier, Safer Parking
Supermarket and multi-storey car parks have some of the worst conditions for reversing a vehicle into or out of a space. Reverse cameras give you a clear and wide-angled view of other parked cars, and of pedestrians and bollards.
This makes manoeuvring in car parks safe, simple and stress-free.
Judging Traffic Distances
When you need to judge space between your car and those around you, especially in narrow streets where there isn’t enough room for two cars to pass each other in different directions safely, reverse cameras can help.
Backing up becomes so much easier with our innovative products fitted.
If you would like us to install one of our reverse cameras to a private vehicle, or if you would like to make an entire fleet safer for your drivers, call The Tint Shack first and let us know your requirements. Security and safety go hand in hand, and we can’t think of a more important addition for those who drive in congested areas, like Crawley, than a product from our branded range.
We very much look forward to helping you with your enquiry.
